I've Been Busy!

Finally! I have enough to post about. I can't seem to keep my own blog updated these days, so this one has really suffered. Thanks to Tammy, our very few fans have had something to check out. But with these last few days of bad weather, I have stayed curled up at home and have actually had a few moments to sit down and do some crafting. I still have a ton of projects I want to do for the holidays, so I'm hoping I still have a few more blogs to come.

I love these little Santas! There is a mint patty in the middle of it. And the beard flips up so you can write a message or use them as place cards for table settings. I think they are ADORABLE!

I saw these done and had to have a try at them. I got the little hand sanitizers from Bath and Body and make a cute box for them. They will make great little stocking stuffers!

How cute are these cards?? They were so simple to make, but I just love them!

And as usual, I had to do some candy wrappers for Christmas. The tags turned out pretty cute and I think they are just a lot of fun!

I did these for fun not sure how they would turn out. But they are pretty cute as well. It's amazing what a little designer paper around chocolates can do!

Most of these projects are for the boutique. I'm trying to get ahead of the game so that I can keep my shelves stocked for the holidays. Plus there are just so many cute ideas out there for Christmas. It's hard not to try all of them. Well, I hope you enjoyed my post. And I hope I'll be back with more soon!

Fun with a Kleenex Box

I saw this online and just loved the idea so i got busy over the weekend making these fun covers for Kleenex boxes. I think they would make fun Neighbor gifts. I just love the saying "Bless you this holiday Sneezin'." mandi and I have to come up with a couple of project for a younger group of girls to make for their moms for Christmas gifts and I think this is one I'll be showing. I am also thinkin about demonstrating these at our next class. How Fun!!!

Time for Christmas?? What??

Well I have been trying to avoid it, but it has caught up to me. What it is you ask? Christmas items for the boutique. I came home from work today anxious to get started, so I sat down at my computor and searched and searched for some fun ideas. I knew I wanted to do some Christmas tags but I wanted to put them in something fun. So I was searching when I came across this cute idea. I was so excited cuz I bought these tins from stampin up pretty cheap and I have quite a few and I really wanted to use them. So I got to work and this is how mine turned out.

I have some more ideas using some candles, and using the Matchbox die that I will be making sometime this weekend so I'll post more later.

"Turkeys" Wanted

I was online about a week ago and came across these cute turkey made with the Treat Cups from Stampin' Up, so I made some and took 15 of them to the boutique around 12:30 last Tuesday, by 5:30 that evening I recieved an email saying they were out of the turkeys and they wanted some more. So I got busy making some more and by Wednesday I took 20 more in. Well I recieved another email on Thursday informing me they were down to 3 left and again needed some more. So I spent today making 20 more to take down on Tuesday. Here is a picture of these cute little Turkeys.

Our first project listed here are the luminaries. I have made 3 styles and you can choose the two you would like to do. There may even be a few other design options for you.

I will provide a LED light for each luminary you do. I really couldn't get a picture that could do these justice while lit up in the dark. But I can tell you that they look pretty amazing!

Next on our list of projects are these adorable boxes. Using the new Halloween designer paper and stamp sets, this box is perfect for favors at a Halloween party or a gift for a friend.

And for our last project, we will be using the new candy wrapper die cut from our new mini catalog. This is a MUST HAVE if you own a Big Shot machine. Whether using regular paper, designer paper or dressing it up to look like a bat, there are plenty of uses for this fun project.

We will get the card posted later so you can see what it looks like. But let us know by this Saturday if you would like to attend the camp. Happy Wednesday

Well I have been busy today. I was asked by the boutique to get some more BYU, Utah stuff made, so I did some more book marks and then I did these...

They are BYU, UTAH Ornaments. I think they turned out pretty cute. I mean who wouldn't want these hangin around? Well the BYU ones anyway. HE HE HE. Just kidding!!!
Then I thought about all the baby stuff that I have in a drawer for diaper cakes and I also came across these cute little containers from Micheals so I put the two together and came up with these. One for a boy and one for a girl!
Then I thought to myself well Halloween is right around the corner so why don't I use up the rest of my little Jars so I took the Retired Stampin up Halloween Rub Ons from last year and and some Halloween candy (yes the stores have Halloween candy out already)and made cute little candy jars!

And then put them in a bag and there you go! Aren't they just cute and festive?

I got home from work today, and got right to work on a couple of projects that I have wanted to do. The first project is some Jars i did using last years Halloween rub ons from Stampin' Up. I am purchasing the new Halloween rub ons from stampin up this week, can't wait to get them anfd start using them.

They look even better with candy!

This is a paint pail I purchased from a local craft store and again used the Halloween Rub On's, filled it with some yummy treats and I will be giving this to my friend who will be hosting a class tomorrow night!

And last but not least I saw this card online and totally loved it. This is one of my favorite sets to use. I did add my own touch to it, I added the ribbon with the brad and the saying is from the new Hostess set.

I used the Just Believe Stamp set, Marina Mist and Wild Wasabi cardstock and a little Wild Wasabi Ribbon, add some pearls and there you are!

Wow I have been gone to long! It's pretty bad when a good friend tells you that you need to get busy and make stuff and post it on the blog. Sorry I have been lazy about this, I have been busy with end of summer activities, but I will try to get back into the swing of things again!

I stopped by the boutique this past week and noticed that our shelves were looking pretty bare so I got to work. I had a very productive weekend this weekend, and here is what I made.

Card Classes

With convention over now, Tammy and I are very excited to start doing more card classes. We were presented with some wonderful projects and ideas and cannot wait to share them with all of you. So if you have been interested at all in hosting a class, please let us know.

With that being said, we do have our next class coming up here pretty soon. Our wonderful friend Tammy C. is hosting a class in her home on August 17th. We had a hard time choosing exactly what to do for our class because of all the options available, but I think everyone will like these.

Our card (made by Tammy) is adorable! Using the new owl punch and some of Stampin' Up!'s new colors, this is a really fun card to look at and make!

And once again, I am very excited to do the project for our class. There weren't quite as many project ideas as there were card ideas, but I found one that I thought would work really well with school about to start. With some designer paper and a few little embellishments, it's amazing what you can do with a crayon box. :)

I hope that you are all as excited as we are about our class! If for any reason you do not get an invite to our classes, but would like one, please let us know. We will make sure you get one!

Day 1

Well day one is over and it was so much fun. We have met new people, we even have a convention buddy from Wisconsin her name is Karen,she is so nice and so dang hilarious! We met another lady at the Flower Power Party and I can't remember her name, but all these ladies are so nice and fun to get to know. To be honest it is so nice to hang with people who love doing the same thing you do.

Mandi and I are waiting in line to get in.
We got our new bags with 2 stamp sets and a wheel and a pen, and pin. The bag is soo very cool! I just realized I didn't take a picture of our bag. I will do that tomorrow. In this picture Mandi is holding the bag, it's not the best picture of the bag , but for now it will do.

Then later that night we went to the Flower Power Party and got our faces painted. Peace Sista!

And to end the evening on a good note, Mandi won a stamp set and ribbon. Boy look at that smile on her face, it was so exciting.
Well it's 10:30 and I have to be up early so i better say good night.

Convention Is HERRRRRRRRRE

Well Mandi and I are off to convention tomorrow. We are both very excited and a little nervous but mostly excited. We got together Saturday and put our notebooks together and I think they turned out pretty cute. It has all the info we need, we included dividers to help keep us organized and pouches to keep our pens and other things. We always have alot of fun when we do things together and going to convention with Mandi is going to be so much fun. Well here is a picture of our Binders and we'll post pictures of our events sometime this week hopefully as we go along but I can't promice anything.

Well I didn't get all 5 cards made this week, I was quite busy with other stuff. But I made this one last night, I really like this new in color Concord Crush and i used the melon mambo. Together they look good!

So last night was a night of good television so I have to admit that I was in front of it watching instead of making cards. But I did get some layouts together for the cards this week and I also came across these little post it note holders that are so fun and easy to make. I used the Island Oasis DSP, I think they look so cute for Summer time. I can't wait to make some for Christmas.

I had a very productive week last week, organizing all my stuff, to getting ready to add some new things to my collection.

I have missed making cards and posting them, so when Sunday got here I texted Mandi and asked her for my new assignment for this week. She chose for me Good Neighbors I was excited to use it, but when I went out looking for some ideas from people who have used it, I didn't come up with anything I really liked, so the challenge for me was to think for myself and see what I could create. Here is my card for Friday. It has been fun working with this set. I did a count on the cards I have ready for convention and I have 19. I am pretty excited with how many I've made. It is so much fun to focus on one stamp set a week, I am thinkin after convention is over, I would still like to do this. It's great down time for me to come home from work and take a nap then spend two hours in my craft room making cards.

I made these cute treat boxes for the boutique decorated for the 4th of July. The top box has some Animal cookies sprinkled in Red, White and Blue. I am having a heck of a time finding Red, White and Blue treats, but I thought this worked out just fine.

Then I made this one and I just love this one, and the treats inside are delicious!!!
It has Golden Grams Cereal, Mini Marshmellows, and Chocolate Chips.

Well Fathers Day is quickly upon us, so I decided to get busy and get a card made. I just made it easy on myself and cased this one right out of Stampin Up mini catalog with a few changes of my own. Cards For Convention

Mandi and I are going to go to the Stampin Up Convention this year, and I was told that we need to make a bunch of cards and take them to the convention for swaps. So I have decided to make a bunch. As of tomorrow we have 10 weeks till we attend and I have made it a goal of mine to make a card each night till we go. Now I probably won't be able to do one every night due to everyday life, but I really want to try.

So on Tuesday I made this card,

and tonight I made this card.
So I am in hopes that I can keep up with this and post one each night and by July 22nd have quite a few cards to swap with my fellow stampers.

Sports Notebooks

I got an e-mail from the boutique the other day telling me that we had some requests for some manly notebooks for teachers or Fathers Day, etc. So I got my brain to thinkin, and I spent several hours at different craft stores looking for paper and accessories. Well while I was at Hobby Lobby (I LOVE that store) I came across this cool paper that feels and looks like a Basketball, and a Football. (I wish there was paper like a golf ball or baseball)So I bought some and spent the weekend making these. I wasn't sure on how I was going to have them close. But I remember seeing notebooks closing with elastic so that's what I did I added some black elastic, I think they turned out pretty cool!!!! I think any man would love to have one of these!

Then I made some mini ones using the Diamond Plate embossing folder and a screw brad and some round elastic. Again I think they are way cool!!

So I would have to say I had a very productive weekend and I will be taking these to the boutique today.

Free Is Awesome!!!

Tammy hosted a Stampin Up card class last week and look at all the stuff she got free from Stampin Up. It's way awesome!!! Thanks to all those who came and those that put in orders to make this all possible for her.

Her free stuff included... 6 Packs of paper, an ink pad, Seven Markers to match her paper, and 2 Stamp sets! WOW!!!! Way to go Tammy.

Mothers Day Card Class

We had a great time last night at Tammy's card class. These classes are alot of fun, just a bunch of ladies getting together making very cute things and most importantly the oppurtunity to get to visit and meet new people. It's AWESOME! I took some pictures from last night. Thanks to Tammy Clayton for hosting and if you ever want to host a class and earn free stuff from Stampin Up,let us know we would be happy to schedule you for a class.

On a very sad note as I was loading my craft bags in the car I rolled my rolling bag to the back of my car and got side tracted and totally forgot to go back for my bag and load it in the trunk and yep you guessed it..... I got in my car to go home, put it in reverse and heard a thunk (oh SH...OOT I said,) and got out of my car to find this....

Oh well I, I picked it up dusted it off and put it in the trunk. All the while Kaylene is just laughing her little beautiful head off. Not Funny, I say! Yeah I have to admit it was a little funny.
Oh well it still works, it hold my much needed stamping supplies and it still rolls, so All Is Well!!!

Tomorrow's Class

Tammy has done the card for Mother's Day. It's a beautiful card with lots of fun details that really make it special.

I did our project for the month. This is a fun little purse that is incredibly easy to make.

Inside the purse, you find a pad of Post-It notes and a pencil. This is fun, easy and a great little gift to give away.

We always have so much fun putting these projects together, so we hope that you enjoy them. We are planning on keeping our blog much more updated with class information, boutique information and specials that we will be running. It has been a very busy but productive day for me today. I decided to finally use some of the candles I bought months ago for some Mothers Day gifts.

Mothers day is coming up and I have been busy coming up with ideas for the Boutique, here are a couple of them and Tomorrow I'll take pictures of the others and post them.

This was a fun project to do,
It is a Terra cotta pot, with a box in the middle to hold some yummy chocolate. I added some texture to the front and added some cute stamped flowers. I think it turned out pretty cute and a little realistic if you ask me.

Name Blocks

This is Mandi. I noticed we haven't posted much on here lately, so since I did a fun little project, I wanted to post my results... just in case anyone is actually looking on our blog.

I have wanted to do name blocks for each of my boys since we got the twins. But I've just never really gotten around to it. So yesterday while I was looking for chipboard at Heartland, I came across these letters. I don't know what possessed me to do it, but I bought them for all my boys and got to work. I think they came out really cute and I can't wait to find a place to put them.

Alex is my fun and laid-back kid. I thought this color and paper would fit him well.

Darek has that fire personality and is always moving, so this fit him perfectly.

And Ian, my sweet, beautiful baby boy. I love these colors for him.

I'm planning for these to go in the boys bedroom, but I still have no idea where. I'll figure it out soon.

Baby Girl Diaper Cake

Well Tammy, Kaylene and I all had so much fun making that baby boy diaper cake that we couldn't resist making a baby girl one as well. I had so much fun going shopping for the baby girl items, especially since I only have boys. We have decided that we will be trying to sell these at the boutique. If you are interested in having a baby diaper cake made, we are happy to do replicas of the ones we've made or specially make one with the baby's name on it or any other personal requests. So here is our fun baby girl diaper cake.

Materials: All Stampin Up
- Any baby stamp set will do. I used the Bundled In Love Set (Retired)
-Bashful Blue Cardstock
-Bashful Blue Designer Paper
-Whisper White Cardstock
-Brocade Blue Stamp Pad
-Corner Rounder Punch
-S.U Dimensionals
-Sponge

Instructions

The Card

1-Cut the bashful blue cardstock 6x3 and score it at 3" and 5"

2- Corner Round and Sponge all the edges

3- Cut Designer paper for the bottom front at 1 3/4 x 2 5/8
and cut a piece for the flap 7/8 x 2 5/8 and Round the bottom edge.

4-Glue the flap down and glue the sides down on the edges. You don't want to go in to far with the glue on the card cause you need the white to be able to slide up and down.

5- On the Designer Paper I stamped the Hippo using Brocade Blue Ink and cut it out.

6- Using 3 Dimensionals I popped the Hippo up on the front.

The Inside

Cut Whisper White Cardstock to 2 5/8" x 2" ( On mine I left off the RSVP cause we are doing an open house, but if you want to add that on you'll have to measure for that.)

Then Stamp and Sponge in the Brocade Blue

Cut Bashful Blue Designer Paper to 2 3/4" x 2 1/4" for behind the White.

Now I put a tab on mine but after i got it all done I noticed that it doesn't fit in a 3x3 envelope so on all the others I left off the tab and they looked just as cute.

November Stamp Camp Projects

And here they are! We are so excited about this Christmas season. There were so many projects to choose from, it was very hard to narrow it down to six. I hope you enjoy these projects and as always, we would LOVE to hear your comments and suggestions.

We will stamp images directly onto a glass plate, using one of the Christmas Stampin' Up! sets. These plates are dishwasher safe and will be etched on the back, so you can still eat off of them. Perfect for setting cookies out for Santa!

This cute little bag was made with one of the Stampin' Up! die cuts and the Big Shot. Decorated with beautiful snowflakes, and filled with Hershey kisses. A perfect little gift for anyone in your life!

This elegant card is made with one of the stamp sets in the latest mini catalog. The ornament set comes with a matching punch, making this card incredibly easy to make!

A set of 4 mini cards perfect for attaching to neighbor gifts or small gifts to hand out around the office. A simple, yet cute layout using some of our adorable Christmas designer paper.

This is such a neat project. Using candles, tissue paper, stamps, wax paper and a little heat... you can personalize candles to your own liking.

The Star Box. This is a fun, easy project that will be perfect to hold fun little gifts. Included with this one will be a bundle of candy canes coming out the top.

Still Alive

We just wanted to let all of you know that we are still alive and will be posting very shortly about our next stamp camp coming up in November. We have most of our projects completed and will be getting pictures up very soon. We love Christmas and are so excited about the fun projects we have planned.

Halloween Stamp Camp

Well, we finally got together today and finished all of the projects that we will be doing for our stamp camp! We hope you all are as excited as we are about these fun projects. We've decided that this stamp camp will center around Halloween since there are so many cute, new products through Stampin' Up! to use (and the fact that this is one of my favorite holidays). :) So here are the six projects we will be doing at our stamp camp on Sept. 26th.

All of our projects

The 1st of two cards. This one is the "Eek card". The circle that you see on top actually slides out so the candy will come out on the other side of the card. Very fun!

Our pixy stix project. Fun colors!

I'm calling this "the York bag". This fun bag is made with the Big Shot die cut machine and we're filling it with decorated York patties.

The Matchboxes are my favorite (and I didn't even make them)! We have Frankenstein and Mummy matchboxes filled with a special treat inside. I love these guys!

This fun little pillow box has been made into a pencil holder/anything holder. I meant to get Halloween pencils before taking the picture, but didn't. But the box is still fun and versatile.

And our last card "The Slider Card" is so much fun. We used a fun little technique that allows the pumpkin to spin and slide from one end of the card to the other.

And here they all are again together.

All supplies will be provided, however if you'd like to bring your own snail tape and/or scissors, that would be fine. Any candy, pencils, etc. will also be provided. We are thrilled to be having our first camp and really hope you will join us. We will be sending fliers out soon and I will be posting one on here soon too. Hi there! We are Mandi Wood, Tammy Nielsen and Kaylene Nielsen. We are all best friends with a bit of a crafty side to us. Although we have been involved in crafts for a while, recently Tammy and I (Mandi) decided to take it to the next step and start doing some stamping classes and camps. We are both demonstrators for Stampin' Up! and love their products. Kaylene is a huge support to us and helps us out with her amazing ideas and creative abilities. We are excited for our first stamping camp in September. Our hope is not only to create beautiful cards, but incorporate fun projects into our classes and camps. Stay tuned for more information about our September camp which will be featuring cards and projects for Halloween and Thanksgiving.
